So much Magnificence

“There is so much magnificence near the ocean, waves are coming in, waves are coming in….” Deva Primal, Miten

Being near the ocean ,and the gulf recently, reminded me of all the life lessons we can learn at the water’s edge.

  1. Looking down at your feet to find treasures makes you miss the beauty and magnificence happening right next to you.

  2. You may feel unattractive with your “barnacles,” but they found you so attractive that they wanted to stick to you.

  3. Footprints, mistakes and roughed up areas are smoothed out by the mighty crashing waves. They hold within themselves destructive power and yet leave behind smooth beaches.

  4. The ocean is so big. Problems are so small.

  5. There is a grand designer who cares about the tiniest grain of sand all the way up to the hairs on my head.

May you find some food for your Nurse’s soul as you look around you; wherever you are. May you see the beauty in the storms of life, and the polishing that they do to and for you.
