No-vember

Last November I did this thing for another web-site and FB posts/IG posts around November being NO-vember. What to say No to and to what to say Yes. I’m doing it again but with more introspection this go around.

Saying no to something doesn’t necessarily mean you are saying yes to something else; but it usually does. What are you saying no to? And to what are you saying yes? As we enter the busiest time of the year, for most folks, and we are winding down 2023, what things are you giving up to make room to accept other things? Do you ever let something go without filling that space with something else?

November is meant to be a month of reflection on all the things for which we are thankful. We actually have a day set aside for giving thanks; and yet, it becomes this super busy preamble to what can be the most stressful moments of the year. Why do we humans, do that? We make something that is meant to be beautiful, and centering; somethings that is meant to join people together, into something ugly, stressful and disconnecting.

As you arrive in the middle of November may you be able to put a halt on the momentum that has carried you to the last 7 weeks of the year and become very purposeful in your day to day movements, thoughts, actions, reactions, feelings, thoughts, and busy-ness. May you be able to say “No” to some things without a “Yes” in mind and leave the space open for blessings.

No-Vember

No:

And see what happens…………….

I think I will take my own advice.
